Lodestone is a curated web directory established as an independent chronicle of the open web. Eight hundred and twenty-seven sites are currently indexed across twenty-two sections, each organised by subject to allow for methodical browsing rather than algorithmic guesswork. The directory accepts free submissions from site owners and reviews each entry before it is added to the record. Unlike search engines that filter and rank according to proprietary criteria, Lodestone records what is there — a plain and navigable log of active sites, organised for the reader who prefers to browse deliberately. The chronicle is maintained continuously, with new entries logged and sections updated as the web itself changes.
